2. Processing of Personal Information (POPIA)

2.1 Purpose of Processing

To provide machine learning training tools, manage educational subscriptions, and comply with tax and statutory obligations.

2.2 Categories of Data Subjects

  • Customers / Users:Name, email, IP address, and training assets.
  • Employees:HR and payroll records.
  • Third-party Providers:Financial records and service level agreements.

2.3 Security

The Company utilizes AES-256 encryption for data at rest and TLS for data in transit. In accordance with the 2026 National AI Policy, we conduct regular impact assessments on any automated decision-making processes used within the platform.

3. Procedure to Request Access (Form 2)

To request access to a record held by Teachable Machine (PTY) LTD, the requester must:

  1. Complete the Form 2 (below).
  2. Submit the form and proof of payment of the R140.00 request fee to Johann Oosthuizen via help@teachablemachine.co.za.
  3. State whether they require the record in a specific format (e.g., electronic or hard copy).
